In Marketing by David Joyal

2018 is finally over and we’re opening the books on a new year! What’s in your marketing plan for 2019?

It’s easy to get caught in the idea that if you have a website and a logo that you’re good to go. But there’s a lot more that you can do online to get out in front of your customers more and increase your revenue.

Here’s 3  simple things you can do to up your online marketing in 2019.

1. Publish More Content, More Often

Content is really easy to create these days. Even our phones are capable of recording high quality videos. By putting more content out on different social media channels, you increase the amount of times you are in front of your customers. You won’t be “out of sight out of mind” if your are constantly producing interesting, informational and entertaining content.

2. Interact with People on Your Social Media Channels

A lot of companies social media channels are pretty much dead ends. They might post content every once and a while but when people comment, their comments seemingly go off into the social media abyss. If you think your social media is dull and lacking interaction, check the last time you’ve posted content or responded to comments. Facebook and all the other social media companies reward activity and interaction so the more you engage with you visitors on these channels, the more likely you will see results from them.

3. Be Consistent

Any marketing takes time to build up momentum and find a groove. I know, I’ve been there. I posted a few blog posts and no one really responded and the traffic didn’t jump through the roof on my website. To see results from social media, you have to keep at it and not give up just because no one responded to the first couple. Think of it as a learning opportunity, a chance to sharpen your focus and build your content creation skills while no one is watching. With consistency and persistence eventually people will start paying attention to what you have to say.
